We went to Bombay Stores where we had a sari demonstration. We had a Light and Colour workshop at the National Media Museum and we walked though Bradford city centre before catching a train back to Skipton.
On Wednesday 21st November our Y3/4 football team won the Cluster football tournament. Thee final match was against Burnsall and ended with a 1-1 draw. However, The Boyle and Petyt team won overall on goal difference.
Thanks go to Mrs Nelson and Mrs Gill for coaching the side and well done to all the players and supporters.
This year our Christmas tree has been made from garden cane, egg boxes, plastic bottles, carrier bags and other rubbish which had been destined for the bin. We all agree it would not look out of place in Harvey Nick's window!
Glass jars have been reused to make pretty tea light holders. Some children made 'snowstorms'
We used some of our empty milk cartons and straws to make bird feeders. Gift tags were made by recycling last year's Christmas cards.
Last year's Christmas cards and other waste card was used to make new cards, Christmas tree decorations and wreaths.
Some children made chocolate truffles and packaged them in plastic boxes with shredded paper.
On February 7th the children held their annual 50/50 Sale.
There were many goodies for sale including outgrown toys, games and DVDs and delicious home baking. As the name of the Sale suggests, 50% of the proceeds is kept by the vendor and 50% is donated to the Friends of the school.
